The IET provides over one million pounds in awards, prizes and scholarships each year, to help support, encourage and celebrate engineering excellence.

IET Engineering Horizons Bursary

A new initiative launched in March 2016, aimed at apprentices and students. This bursary has been set up to help people who have taken a vocational route into engineering and who may require financial assistance. The scheme pays £1,000 a year up to four years dependent on the course.

Diamond Jubilee Scholarships

Approximately 100 scholarships of at least £1,000 per year are available to UK students with A levels, Highers or Advanced Highers starting in their first year of an IET accredited degree course in the UK.

Undergraduate Grants

Ten IET Grants of £1,000 are available to students who will be commencing the final year of an IET accredited degree course at a UK university in autumn 2016.

Postgraduate Scholarships

Five scholarships ranging from £2,500 – £10,000 are available to applicants in any year of their PhD or EngD research programme.
