IET Connect can help towards the costs of care for IET members and their families.

Funding is available for a wide range of assistance including:

• short breaks
• respite care
• breaks for carers
• independent living
• mobility and getting around
• home care
• convalescence
• long term care
• lifeline alarms

To be eligible to apply for financial help you will need to be a current or former IET or IEE member or be a dependant.

If you feel you need a little help, or you would just like to talk about your circumstances, then please do get in touch. Once we have discussed your situation with you,  we will aim to help in the most effective way.

A weekend away gave Darren a break and his parents time to plan

“Just wanted to say thank you for the break…. Darren enjoyed it very much. He caught the biggest fish that he has ever caught and has shown everyone he meets a picture of it. 

The break gave us time as parents to work on his care plan so the holiday achieved our aim to set him up for the future, discuss important things with him, and to get him on a firm financial footing towards living independently.
